Eva Marie Scyphers

Eva Marie Scyphers, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2026, at English Meadows in Abingdon, VA surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Scyphers was born November 07, 1936, to the late Charles and Ida Johnson Ketchem in Washington County, VA. She attended Hayters Gap Community Church.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack K. Scyphers; and daughter. Glenda R. Barnes.

Survivors include her two sons, Billy Joe Scyphers and wife Regina and Jackie W. Scyphers; three daughters, D. D. Odum and husband Jim, Susan Nunley and husband Kenneth, and Melanie L. Galyon; eight grandchildren, Kent Nunley, BJ Scyphers, Matt Scyphers, Jessica Winter, Andrew Galyon, Zach Barnes, Joey Barnes and Nick Scyphers; nine great grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 27, 2026, with a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Tracy Puckett and Pastor Stanley McKamey officiating. A committal service will follow in procession to Knollkreg Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be the grandsons, BJ, Matt, Kent, Nick, Joey and Zach.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Odum, Kenneth Nunley, Mike Barnes, Steve Kestner, Darrel Kestner, Jeff Kestner, and great grandsons, Brycen Scyphers, Hudcen Scyphers, Bo Scyphers, Liam Winter and Westin Barnes.

The family will receive friends and family for visitation hours prior to the service at the residence of Mr. Jim and D.D. Odum, 26342 Beech Circle, Abingdon, VA. 24211.
