Eva Jean Rasnake Stevens, 76, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025.
Born on November 21, 1948, in Davenport, Virginia, Eva was the beloved daughter of the late Pierce Rasnake and Carrie Elizabeth Barton Rasnake. She dedicated many years of her life working as a postal worker and was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit. Eva was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star #182 Abingdon Chapter and a faithful attendee of Spoon Gap Freewill Baptist Church.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ricky Allen Stevens; eight brothers—Jerry, Virgil, Jim, Hurshel, Claude, James, Herman, and Thurman Rasnake; and three sisters—Margie Cook, Beulah Sutherland, and Frances Presley.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 59 years, Homer Stevens; one brother, Maynard Rasnake; sister-in-law, Shirley Rasnake; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, Virginia. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M., officiated by Rev. Herbert Bailey. Interment will take place at Ketron Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia.
