Eva Danish Shumate, 91, passed away March 2, 2019 in Abingdon, Va. surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Shumate was born September 14, 1927 to the late Noah and Lallie Moran Pennington in Konnarock, Va.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Trivett; second husband, Carson Shumate; seven brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include, two daughters, Ann Walls and Eva Gilley; one son, James Trivett and wife Bonnie; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Monday, March 4, 2019 at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harley Farmer and Pastor Jerry Fritz officiating. A committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Laurel Valley Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are ask to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Trivett, Johnny Patrick, Zack Gobble, Kelly Gobble, Greg Gregory, Bryson Brown, Jared Walls, and Brandon Walls. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Rusty Pennington.
