Elmer Lee Greer, Jr., of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away on March 24, 2026, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia.
Elmer was a man who truly appreciated the simple things in life. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting, and was known as a devoted animal lover. He dedicated over 20 years of hard work to Andis wood products, where he was a valued employee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Joe Daughtery; one sister, Daisy Brewer; and one nephew, Jeremy Lee “Roho” Brewer.
Elmer is survived by two brothers, John Daughtery and wife Joyce, and Jack Daughtery; one nephew, Roster Brewer and wife Beth; special niece, Zoe Harton; nephews, Jeremy Daughtery and Joey Daughtery; and great-nephews, Lucas Daughtery and Johnathan Daughtery.
Services for Mr. Greer will be held privately.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
