Edna Mae Colley

Edna Mae Colley, 91, passed away July 7, 2023, at her residence in Glade Spring, VA.

She was born June 07, 1932, in Washington County, Virginia to the late Carl Ray and Elma Phillips Cullop. Edna enjoyed working in her gardens. She retired from Harwood Manufacturing after 40 years. She then attended Virginia Highlands Community College where she obtained her G.E.D. and Associate in Nursing, then later worked for Walmart for 12 years.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Colley; one brother, Bill Cullop; two sisters, Shirley Ann Pippin and Mary Matthews.

Edna is survived by four sons, Don Yates and wife Pam, Jack Yates and wife Judy, Bill Colley, Clark Colley and wife Donna; one daughter, Cindy Shipley and husband Jamie; grandchildren, Lydia Weems, Nathan Yates, Andy Yates, Billy Colley, Allie Petree and husband Taylor, Haley Jarvis and husband Gabe, Lori Powell and husband Dallas, Mike Infante, Nick Infante and wife Kimmie, Jordan Shipley and wife Pam, Keith Auker and wife Laura, and Bronnie Allen and husband Rick; eighteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bud Cullop and wife Myrna; two sisters, Ruth Taylor, Ethel Reynolds; sister-in-law, Martha Buskill. Edna is also survived by several nieces and nephews: special friend Karen Weiss.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 10, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eric Ramey officiating. The committal service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 19391 Bethel Rd, Abingdon, VA 24211. Those planning to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.

Chris Reynolds, Hayter Dee Reynolds, Howard Reynolds, Bryan Reynolds, David Widener, and Eddie Buskill will serve as pallbearers.
