Earnest Harvey Deskins, age 80, passed away at Bristol Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Earnest was born on July 11, 1942 to the late John Harvey and Susie Addair Deskins. He moved from West Virginia to Bristol in 1986 and is of the Baptist faith. Earnest loved to hunt and was an avid member of the N.R.A.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Hazel Deskins; 3 daughters, Sissy Kirk of Bristol, TN., Mae Sutherland and husband, Larry of Tazewell, VA., Mary Lane and husband, Ray of Abingdon, VA.; sister, Margaret Lester of Ohio; five grandchildren, Destiny Lewis, Abigail Bailey, Eric Cooper, Jonathan Heneger, and Alana Sutherland; great-grandson, Logan Lewis.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Willis Osborne officiating. Interment will take place at Solid Rock Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eric Cooper, Marty Lewis, Logan Lewis, Brody Mullins, Jonathan Henegar, and Donnie Wright.
