Douglas Wayne Taylor, 57, passed away August 27, 2020 at his residence in Brainerd, MN.
Mr. Taylor was born December 4, 1962 to Stafford and Joyce ‘Jane’ Kinsley Taylor in Abingdon, VA.
Mr. Taylor moved to Minnesota 27 years ago where he worked as a chef for Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering on vehicles and his snowmobile. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his canine companion Foffi.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stafford Taylor; brother-in-law, Tony Worley.
Survivors include, his wife, Teri Taylor; mother, Jane Taylor; two sisters, Wanda Baumgardner and husband Mark, and Joan Worley; two nephews, Joshua Baumgardner and Chase Baumgardner and wife Meaghan; two nieces, Cyndi Stein and husband Curt, Kristi Heath and husband Adam; also, several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
A graveside service will be held 3 P.M. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in the Rosedale Baptist Church Cemetery, Abingdon, VA.,with Pastor Mark Baumgardner officiating.
Current covid-19 guidelines and restriction practices are requested.
