Douglas Wayne Hagy, 51, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in Kingsport, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Hagy, Jr.
Doug was a former supervisor for Southeastern Graphics in Johnson City and had been employed with Master Model Craft for the past 12 years. Doug was very mechanically inclined and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball during high school and later in life loved a good game of golf. He loved to cook and always enjoyed “eating a good bite of food”. Doug was a people person whether it was teaching sports or entertaining friends and neighbors: He lived life to the fullest.
Survivors include his mother, Alice Shirrell Hagy of Bristol, Va.; one brother, James T. Hagy of Bristol, Tenn.; nephew, James Joseph Hagy and his mother, Nancy Foster. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Lisa Lawson of Kingsport, Tenn.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A service will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor David Gibson officiating. Committal services will follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
