Douglas “Mose” Clark Otey, 71, passed away July 13, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 31, 1949 in Abingdon VA. to the late Eugene and Hazel Mann Otey.
Mr. Otey enjoyed spending his time going to the flea market and looking for yard sales. He would often be by a river or lake spending his time fishing which he enjoyed thoroughly. Above all he loved spending time with his family.
Including his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Deborah Lynn Compton; second wife, Lisa Snead Otey; one brother Richard Otey; one sister, Monte Guill.
Survivors include his loving companion, Renea Widener; four daughters, Carolyn Williams, Sandy Parker and husband Doug, Brandie Billiter-Arnett and husband Steven, and Natalie Widener; six brothers, Kenny Otey, Sam Otey and wife Lisa, Don Otey, Gilmer Otey and wife Joyce, Wayne Otey and wife Diane, and Jim Otey; two sisters, Louise Taylor and husband Charlie, and Eva Sue Stewart and husband Roby; four grandchildren, Dean Arnett, Deborah Williams, Nathan Parker and Kayla Parker; also several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside will be held for Mr. Otey.
