Dorothy Louise Cox

 Dorothy Louise Cox, 88, of Bristol, VA passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 28, 1930 to the late Nelson and Alta Johnson Frazier. She will be remembered by her family for her love for reading books especially her bible, sewing, and tending to her garden. Including her parents, she is preceded in death by, her husband, Marion Cox; brother, Joe Frazier; two sisters, Betty Fortner and Laura Frazier; and granddaughter, Teresa Carter. Survivors include, three sons, Gilbert Cox and wife Ada, Randy Cox and Ted Cox and wife Joann; one daughter, Patricia Gill; brothers, Ralph Frazier, Ray Frazier and wife Hattie, Tommy Frazier and wife Bonnie, Roger Frazier and wife Thelma, sisters, Beck Statzer and husband Reece, Dicie Dean, Treva Barker and husband Howard, and Sue Gill; brother in law, Robert Fortner; best friends, Charlott Scott and Cathy Widner; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 until 6:45 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2019, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., in the chapel with Pastor Lyon Smith and Pastor Roger Ball officiating. An entombment service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2019, in the mausoleum of Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Abingdon, VA. Family and friends are asked to gather at the mausoleum by 1:45 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Gragg, Austin Pickel, Arthur McCroskey, Earnie Davenport, Earl Brewer and Lewis Keller. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Cox, Evan Cox, Carlyle Hobbs, Bobby Brewer, Rick Fleenor and Men of Revival Center.
