Dorothy Combs Weaver

Bristol, VA 

Dorothy Combs Weaver, 93, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on October 06, 1932, to the late David Clarence Combs and Mary Michaels Combs in the Greenspring community. She loved to spend her time outdoors especially fishing and camping with her family where they made many memories. She also enjoyed working in the greenhouse, gardening, and her yard work. Above all she was a loving wife, mother, and sister who cherished her family dearly. Mrs. Weaver was a member of Greendale Chapel. 

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by, her siblings, Frances Combs Church, James Combs, Henry Combs, Alice Combs Kyle, Mary Combs Jackson, and Lola Combs Denton, son-in-law, Bob Baskerville. 

Survivors include, her loving husband of 73 years Joseph Weaver; son, Mike Weaver and wife Liz; daughter, Barbara Baskerville; siblings, Dee Combs, Paul Combs, Annie Combs Lowry, Shirley Combs Murray and husband Walter, Howard Combs and wife Patty, Erma Combs Brown and husband Larry, and Allen Combs; one step grandson, Travis Wagers and wife Jessica; two step-great grandsons, Jeb and Jase Wagers; also several, nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home with a service to follow at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M. 

Honorary pallbearers will be, Steve Kyle, Scott Wingard, Jackie Weaver, Allen Combs, Mike Hobbs, Howard Combs, Roy Kyle, Bobby Kyle, Danny Arnold, and Donnie Weaver. 

The family will be accepting flowers or donations may be made to Greendale Chapel in memory of Mrs. Weaver, P.O. Box 1314 Abingdon, VA 24212.
