Dorothy "Bunny" Caywood McNeil

Glade Spring, Virginia

Dorothy “Bunny” Caywood McNeil, 70, went home to be the lord February 14, 2023, at her home with her daughter, Lisa Michelle, and her loving husband, David, by her side.

Bunny was born April 13, 1952, the youngest of three children, to the late Lawrence and Ruby Caywood. Bunny was always the life of the party. She loved her church, family, and friends. Bunny and her daughter, Lisa Michelle, were like two peas in a pod. You wouldn't see one without the other and their relationship was very close and unique. Bunny loved to cook and just make everyone smile and feel like family. Bunny was a faithful member of Greenfield Baptist Church and cherished everyone there. She left her home on earth, but she has gone to another with no more pain. She wants her friends and family to be happy and live life to the fullest and one day join her at that beautiful home called Heaven.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Caywood; five aunts, Christine Wallace, Eula Gates, Louella Eller, Roberta Owens, and Evelyn Lowery; one niece, Lori Wilson; brother-in-law, Tommy Hale.

Bunny is survived by her husband, David McNeil; one daughter and future son-in-law, Lisa Michelle and Seth Spence; two sons, Mark Crane and wife Katie and Chad Crane and wife Erin; one step-son, Terry McNeil; one brother, R.D. Caywood; grandsons, Tyler Crane and wife Savannah and Devin Williams; granddaughters, Becca Crane, Haylee Crane, Taylor McNeil; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret O’Neil, Dot Pruitt, Lois Hale, and Bonnie Woodward; special friends, Rosie St.Clair, B.J. Puckett, Bill and Debbie Neese, Rosemary Deas, Jane Bryant, Robbie and Charity Roe, Amanda Havens and many more; several close cousins, nieces, and nephews with whom she shared so many great memories also survive.

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Virginia where her friend Bill Nease will speak. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45 P.M.
