She had a special love for animals and was known for her ability to make friends wherever she went. Her warmth, generosity, and kind spirit touched everyone who knew her. She especially treasured her close friendships with Susan Blevins, Avery Walker, and Donna Kilgore. Diane’s love for her family and friends was unwavering, and she gave freely of her heart to all.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy Hopkins; her sister, Geri Hart; her brother, Denny Burroughs; numerous nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Shelley Rowland; and her beloved pets, Motley and Woody, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
A private celebration of life will be held locally with close friends, followed by a graveside service at her final resting place in Maples, New York.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Outreach Foundation or to The Humane Society in her memory.
