Danny Lee Boone

 Danny Lee Boone, 60, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025.

Born on October 5, 1964, Danny was the beloved son of Peggy Puckett Fox (Robert) and the late Eugene Floyd Boone, Sr. A devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Danny lived a life full of love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community.

Danny had a deep passion for music and antique cars and was known for his strong work ethic and generous spirit. He was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 70 and spent many years working to provide for those he loved. Danny had a special way with children and animals, always showing compassion and warmth. He especially enjoyed watching sports—his greatest joy came from cheering on his granddaughters.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Floyd Boone, Sr.; his wife, Juanita Boone; his grandson, Dawson Widner; and maternal grandparents Lonnie and Dollie Puckett.

He is survived by his loving mother, Peggy Fox (Robert); his four children: Danielle Perry (Benjamin), Carrie Boone, Dustin Boone, and Shannon Boone; five cherished granddaughters; one brother, Eugene Boone, Jr.; two sisters, Cindy Blevins (Gary) and Stephanie Wyatt (J.C.); his companion, Tammy; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him deeply.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home Chapel in Abingdon, Virginia. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M., officiated by Rev. Jerry A. Eggers. Following the service, a procession will travel to Old Glade Baptist Cemetery.
