Charlotte Irene Cook Ward

Charlotte Irene Cook Ward, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026.

She was born on May 1, 1939, to the late Joseph Harrison Cook and Ellen Norris Cook.

Charlotte dedicated 20 years of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a profession that reflected her compassionate and giving nature.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pete Ward; and two brothers, Joseph Cook and Robert Cook.

Charlotte is survived by her son, Jeffery Edward Musser and wife Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Jason Musser and Lidia Musser; two sisters, Susan Sutfin and Betty Lyons; as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Old Glade Presbyterian Church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Elizabeth Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at Old Glade Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Charlotte’s memory.
