Charles Wiley Carmack, Jr., age 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born on November 27, 1932, in Washington County, Va., to the late Charles Wiley Carmack, Sr. and Jessie Booher Carmack. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Belle Stophel and Frances Gregory; and one great grandchild, Kerry Tyler Anderson.
Charles was a lifelong resident of Abingdon and operated a dump truck business for many years. He enjoyed horses and dancing, however his favorite thing to do was spend time with his many friends.
Survivors include four children, Ricky Carmack (Cheryl), Rusty Carmack (Regina) and Steven Carmack all of Abingdon and Channing Carmack of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and many special friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Frost Funeral Home. Family and friends will then travel in procession to Forest Hills Memory Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
