Charles “Charles Allen” Stevens, 79, of the Denton Valley community, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home.
Charles Allen was born in Washington County, Va., to the late Irby Stevens and Ora Stewart Stevens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Stevens and one brother, Jack Stevens.
He was retired from Mid-Mountain Foods where he served as a maintenance supervisor for 33 years. Charles Allen was an avid fisherman and lifelong farmer. He was a member of Denton Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Stevens; one daughter, Donna Wise and husband Greg; three step-children, Brianne Green and husband Zach, David Dye and wife Trena, and Keith Dye and wife Tiffany; several step- grandchildren and step- great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staffs of JMH Cancer Center and Caris Hospice for their excellent care.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, November 15, 2021, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers, Pastor Tim Stevens and Rev. Gary Rogers officiating. The eulogy will be given by Jesse Lewis. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday.
Active pallbearers will be Carroll Howard, Clarence Lowe, Dailey Bucklen, Tyler Keeling, Sammy Price, Keith Dye, David Dye and Sonny Rowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Manuel, Rick Hughes and Steve Fulton.
