Carl Robert Testerman

Carl Robert Testerman, 83, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at his home in Abingdon, Virginia.

He was born July 5, 1940, in Washington County, Virginia to the late Robert Elmer Testerman and Rosa Taylor Testerman. 

Carl proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a retired iron worker.  

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by one brother, Doc Testerman and three sisters, Corrine Waddell, Bonnie Lester, and Shelby Hurley. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Eleanor Norris Testerman; three children, Darrell (Susan) Testerman, Tammy (Eddie) Ingle, Kevin (Cindy) Testerman;  sister, Diane Blevins; brother, Willie Testerman; six grandchildren, Derek (Bobbie) Testerman, Josh (Ayla) Ingle, Kaitlin Ingle (Jonathan Hurley), Tiffani (Wyatt)Rasnake, MaKayla Testerman (Devin Smith), and Gillie Testerman (Alijah Burks); five great-grandchildren, Erin Testerman, Alex Testerman, Booker Ingle, Logan Rasnake, Imogene Ingle, and two expected later this year.   Carl is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

The family will hold a memorial visitation on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made In Carl’s honor to the Meadowview Volunteer Fire Department, 13165 Meadowview Square, Meadowview, Virginia, 24361.
