Bobby Lee Fields, Sr., 59, of the Hidden Valley community, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 22, 1962, in Washington County, Va., and was a lifelong resident. He was employed with Virginia Highlands Airport in the grounds keeping department. Bobby enjoyed hunting, going to yard sales and watching westerns. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Bobby was a member of the Brumley Gap Fire Department for many years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Lilly Fields; and one granddaughter, Brooklyn Marie Gray.
Survivors include his father, Floyd Fields; three children, Sabrina Gray and fiancé, Devan Statzer, Samantha Fields, and Bobby Fields, Jr. and wife, Morgan; six grandchildren including one very special granddaughter, Gracie Raine Marlow; his fiancé, Roxanna Harriger; one sister, Judy Gogan; three brothers, Wayne Fields and wife, Joanne, David Fields and wife, Libby, and Harry Fields and wife Heather; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Fields Family Cemetery off Fields Lane in the Hidden Valley community of Abingdon, Va. The Rev. Jerry A. Eggers will be officiating the service. Those wishing to attend are asked to gather at the cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
