Our dear mother, Billie Dove Hensdill, 91, sadly passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022.
Billie was born on February 21, 1931 to the late Porter Marvin Cain and Bessie Pearl Cain.
She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She attended Virginia Highlands Fellowship Country Venue. Billie enjoyed going to the beach and picnicking and kayaking at the lake. She also enjoyed clogging and walking on the Creeper Trail. Billie devoted her life to loving and caring for her family, including her fur-baby, Clay.
Including her parents, Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Hensdill; sister, Peggy Jo Soelzer.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Lynne Smith; son, Kenny Hensdill; son-in-law, Paul Smith; two sisters, Andora Beach and husband Skip, and Iris Sowell and husband Maurice; two granddaughters, Paige Smith and Allison Young and husband, Justin Young; great-grandchildren, Nolan, Callum, Jocelyn Olivia, and Cylus.
She was extremely loved and will be missed terribly.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Knollkreg Memorial Park with Pastor Craig Barber officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 P.M. to go in procession to the cemetery.
