Beulah Jean Doss Murphy, 86, of Damascus, VA, a woman who trusted in the Lord with all her heart, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2021 at Abingdon Health and Rehab.
She was born March 02, 1935 to the late William and Lura Widener Doss.
Ms. Murphy loved to spend time with her family and church family. She had such a loving and giving heart. She also enjoyed cooking meals for those she loved. Ms. Murphy was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by, her husband Jack Murphy; three brothers, Raymond Doss, Roy Doss and Denver Doss; three sisters, Ruby Gentry, Lucille Thomas, and Bertie Mae Gentry.
Survivors include, a loving son she never had, special nephew, Randy Doss and wife Susan; one brother, Kenneth Doss and wife Ruth; sister-in-law, Thelma Doss; special nephew, Kenny Gentry; special niece, Linda Wright; special caregiver, Margie Owens; also, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park, Damascus, VA with Pastor Vann Seal officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 PM.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Blake Doss, Jed Owens, Jim Owens, Kenny Gentry, Ethan Caudill and Randy Doss.
Mark Barrett will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 35211 Greertown Rd. Glade Spring, VA. 24340.
