Barkley King Slagle, 76, of the Denton Valley community, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at Grace Healthcare Center.
He was born May 27, 1941, in Washington County, Va., to the late Andrew and Bertha Slagle. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, William Slagle.
Barkley was a lifelong resident of the area and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Ardith Roberts Slagle; one son, Eric Slagle and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2019, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., with Pastor Dwayne Dillard officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
