Armanda "Mandy" Kay Thomas Parks

Armanda “Mandy” Kay Thomas Parks, 51 of Damascus, Virginia entered into her heavenly home on August 19, 2024, in Abingdon, Virginia. 


Mandy was a devoted and loving mother, daughter and nanny. She was recently saved by her lord and savior. Mandy enjoyed spending her time with her family, loved picking on her son in law and spoiling her grandbabies. She enjoyed gardening with her grandmother and taking care of her mother. She could put a smile on anyone’s face and always had encouragement for anyone in need of it.


She was proceeded in death by her father, George Thomas and grandfather, Willard Widener. 


Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Thomas; daughters, Katie Parks (Adam), Melanie parks, Casey Johnson and husband Scotty; one loving son, Lane Parks; 2 bonus children whom she loved as her own, Abbie and Allie Parks; six grandchildren who were the light of her life; Waylon, Abel, Kinzleigh, Aubree, Adalyn and Layton; grandmother, Mary Widener; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom will miss her dearly. 


The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Frost Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The graveside service will be Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 1:00 PM with Pastor Nick Shortridge officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.


Pallbearers will be Lane Parks, Charlie Widener, Hunter Baumgardner, Cody Wyatt, Travis Riley and Johnny Widener. 


The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Frost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Glade Spring, Virginia with Pastor Nick Shortridge officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.


Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Johnson, Mike Parks and Rob Johnson


The family would like to send a special heartfelt thank you to Brandi Branson, Linda Hale, Paul Worley and Arin Clark for their continuous love and support they showed her.
