Arlene Rutherford Coffing

Arlene Rutherford Coffing, 75, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Bristol, VA. 

Born on June 2nd in Ashe County, Arlene was a beloved Daughter, Sister, Mother, Mamaw and great great grandmother. She was known for her kind spirit and giving heart. 

Arlene enjoyed many career opportunities with her favorite being taking care of her loved ones and cherished pets! She also enjoyed watching wildlife and gazing at scenery and family pictures. 

She was preceded in death by her parents - Albert and Mickey Rutherford; her husband- Everette Coffing, grandson Don Bryant and grandson-in-law Jeremy Haines.

She is survived by 3 children - Ronnie Coffing, Melissa Bryant (Donald) and Melanie Pike (Terry); 7 Grandchildren - Kimberly Haines, Katy Bryant, Ashlein Coffing (Josh Isenhour), Lucinda Fender (Casey Renfro), Donny Fender, Gracie Bryant and Stephanie Brown (Cody); 11 Great grandchildren - Kaylee Haines; Warren and Harper Isenhour; Addilyn and Annaleigh Bass; Brantley Bryant; Raelynn, Piper, and Beau Renfro; Reilly and Major Brown. 3 loving Sisters- Williamena Bare, Ora Church (David), and Pete Rutherford and 1 brother- A. M. Rutherford (Mary). So many special friends and extended family are also left behind including her "adopted" Renfro and Bryant families. 

Arlene will be deeply missed.
