Anna Sue Morrison

Anna Sue Morrison, age 72, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was a member of Calvary Church in Chilhowie, Va.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Arville Millsap and a great grandson, Brandon Henderson.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 48 years, Bobby D. Morrison; three children, Donald E. Morrison and wife Amy, Matthew T. Morrison and wife April, and Shawna R. Butrym and husband Lee; six grandchildren, Whitley Morrison, Shelby Morrison, Kade Morrison, Natalie Morrison, Cooper Butrym and Elise Butrym; sister-cousin, Wanda Stevens and husband Ken; one great grandson, Brayden Henderson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and special friends; one half-brother, Mike Martin and wife Alice.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel.  A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Matthew Chapman officiating.  Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.  Those wishing to attend may gather at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m.

Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Morrison, Ken Stevens and Buford Harris.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and staff of Wellmont Hospice for the excellent care during her illness.
