Virginia Sue Warden Hearl, 84, died on Friday, January 8th, 2021 in Charlottesville VA after an extended illness.
Born January 6th, 1937 in Washington County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late L. Charles Warden Sr. and Vennia Blevins Warden.
Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James C. Hearl; her twin brother Robert Hunter Warden, four other brothers, Charles Warden Jr., Paul Warden, Bill Warden, and Doug Warden; and one sister, Ruby Wilson.
She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Blackwell of Bristol, TN and Yvonne Blevins of Milford, DE; her son, Mark C. Hearl and his wife Lisa, of Charlottesville, VA; two grandchildren, R. Hunter and Kayla N. Hearl; a close sister-in-law and her husband, Christine and Alvin Nunley of Bassett, VA; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of the Laurels of Charlottesville for caring for her in her final years.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM, at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Frost Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
