Roy Duff Wilson, 95, of Abingdon, Va., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wilson and Melinda Meadows Houser; first wife, Marie Roark Wilson and one sister, Ruth Wilson Copeland.
Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended Damascus Road Baptist Church. He was a retired contractor and loved motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Beulah Goodson Wilson; two children, Kenneth Lee Wilson (Cindy) of Abingdon and Judy Meredith (Fred) of Knoxville, Tenn.; two step-children, Samuel Goodson (Susie) Bristol, Va., and Patricia Grogan of Piney Flats, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Angela Kilgore (Chad) of Abingdon and Brett Meredith of Knoxville, Tenn.; three step-grandchildren, Jessica Poston (Joe) of Richmond, Va., Nicole Grogan of Piney Flats, Tenn. and Mandi Evans of Corryton, Tenn.; two great grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of MSA Home Health and Hospice and also to Eula Grant for the care shown to Roy.
Visitation will be 1 to 1:45 p.m., on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow with Rev. John E. Massey, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Fred Meredith, Brett Meredith, Jack Chafin, Wayne Chafin, Chad Kilgore and Dave Jones.
