Nelson Wampler, Jr.

Abingdon, VA.

Nelson Wampler, Jr., 72, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Nelson bravely fought ALS for a year. Although he lost the battle, Nelson won the war because he is in heaven with the good Lord!

Due to his hard work, long hours, and a great staff (Brian, Brandy, Tamsyn, Mary, and Meredith), the successful insurance agency is still going strong after 23 years. He was very proud that his son, Brian is leading the family owned agency into the future and carrying on his vision for the business.

Nelson was a devoted Christian and was serious about his faith. Nelson retired from the Army Reserve after 23 years of service and was a charter member of Abingdon VFW Post 1994.
