Curtis Lynn Shaw, 64, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Curtis was born in Abingdon, Va., to the late Paul Edward Shaw and Ola Lorene Hawthorne Shaw.
He was a retired automobile painter and was the owner of Curt’s Repair Shop for over 35 years. Curtis enjoyed fishing and working with computers. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Shaw; three children, Jessica Nicole Thompson (Kelly Hale), Christopher Lynn Shaw (Emily) and Velvet Love Grant; two sisters, Trina Widener (Curtis) and Regina Buchanan; five grandchildren, Madison Grace Thompson, Johnia Elizabeth Shaw, Caleb Mason Shaw, Jade Mayo and Lexie Tedder; and two close friends, Phil Felice and Donnie Thompson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Frost Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, at Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery, 20241 Green Springs Rd., Abingdon, Va., with Brother Junior Gobble officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
