Cody C. Adkins, 15, of Abingdon, Va., passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.
Cody was born July 31, 2002, in Smyth County, Va., he was a student at Abingdon High School where he just completed the 10th grade. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, playing video games and loved the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his nana, Linda K. Johnson and uncle, Mark Wayne Helton.
Survivors include his mother, Jessica Johnson and step-father, Jamie Neece of Abingdon; sister, Larken Nelson; brother, Brady Johnson; great grandmother, Gerlene Helton of Meadowview; aunt, Ashley Johnson; uncle, David Johnson; numerous other family members and special friends also survive.
A visitation with the family will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will then travel to Mount Rose Cemetery for a graveside service with Pastor Roger O’Quinn officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Johnson, Brady Johnson, Derek Neece, Andrew Neece, and his best friends, Jaden Hinckley and Anthony Strahorn.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
