Bernice Snead Millsap, 87, formerly of Abingdon, VA, widow of Leonard Snead and Lawrence Millsap, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at her residence. She was born September 1, 1931 in Meadowview, Virginia, a daughter of the late Earl and Margaret Henegar.
She loved her church, Woodlands Baptist Church, and the people who attended there.
Family members include, one brother, Butch Henegar of South Carolina, one son, the late Billy Leonard Snead, two daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Burt (Pedro) Holman of Chilhowie, and Sandy and Don McClure of Stuarts Draft, VA., nine grandchildren, Theresa Miller and Jennifer Fleenor of Kingsport, TN., Randall Holman of Charleston South Carolina, Christy Snider and husband Stephen of Chilhowie, Chyloe and husband Jerad Trumbo of Raleigh, NC., Summer and husband Jeremy Woody of Stuarts Draft, VA., Tyler and wife Nicki of Albany, NY., Miyah McClure and Graycee McClure of Stuarts Draft. Thirteen great grandchildren, Brittany Miller, Austin Smith, Keegan, Reese, Beckett, and Nash Trumbo, Carson, Kaylynn, Addy, Josi, and the late Tyson Woody, Larkin and Sunder McClure. Two great, great, grandchildren, Ayden and Sebastian Miller of Kingsport, TN.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Don McClure and Pastor Tyler McClure. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be Randall Holman, Austin Smith, Jared Trumbo, Jeremy Woody, Keegan Trumbo, Carson Woody, Reese Trumbo, Beckett Trumbo and Larkin McClure.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8 before the service, at the funeral home.
