Anthony “Tony” Cecil Taylor, 57, of Damascus, Va., passed from this life on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
Tony enjoyed fishing and hunting among other outdoor activities. He loved listening to music, spending time with family and studying the Bible. He was kind hearted, funny, liked by everyone who met him and loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline and Cecil “Zeke” Taylor; and an infant daughter, Nicole “Jade” Taylor.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Tristin Taylor; step-son, Travis Taylor; grandsons, Bryce Taylor and Tegan Taylor; granddaughter, Willow Currence; close friend and mother of his children, Denise Taylor; brothers and sisters, Rodney Hamm (Lynn), Doug Blackburn (Mickie), Becky Eller (Ernie), Laura Proffitt (Kevin), Thomas Taylor (Patty); many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 9, at Green Cove Cemetery, 31024 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Damascus, Va., with Pastor Robert Blevins officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
