Ann Barber Smith, 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Smith was born on November 1, 1947, to the late Karl and Dorothy Barber. Ann was a very active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir and prepared the flowers for the alter. She was also a member of Washington County Master Gardner’s, Abingdon Garden Club, and the Black’s Fort Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Darryl Smith; one brother, Vinson Barber and wife, Sandra; and one nephew, Christopher Barber.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Boyd Evans officiating.
