Yvonne Foster Dunn, age 73 of Meadowview, VA ran into her Savior’s arms on August 24, 2026, at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

Yvonne was a devoted wife, mother, Nana and great Nana who exemplified Faith over Fear. Her faith in God was at the center of who she was. She trusted in Him, leaned on Him, and carried that faith with her through every season of her life. We find comfort knowing that the God she loved so dearly has welcomed her home.

Yvonne loved her family with everything she had. She was the kind of mother whose love was always there-steady, unconditional, and never-ending. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and her greatest joy. She cherished every moment spent together, every conversation, and every memory made.

And then there was Christmas. Yvonne didn’t just love Christmas-she loved everything about it. The lights, the decorations, the music, the traditions and especially Santa, the second love of her life.

Yvonne shared 57 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Bobby Sherrell Dunn. Her memory will always be cherished by her children, Bobby Dunn (Val), Sharon Mullins (Johnny) and Chad Dunn (Amanda). Her grandchildren, Callie Dunn, Cody Dunn, Makenzie Martin and Savannah Martin will forever hold their Nana’s love inside their hearts. Yvonne now will be able to spoil her grandchildren, Corey and Autumn who proceeded her in death. Her great-grandchild, Easton, will be told stories of his great-Nana’s love and devotion to her family. Several nieces, nephews and her Yaya Sisters will forever cherish the memories made with Yvonne.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia with funeral service to follow with Pastor David Gary, Pastor David Reynolds, and Pastor David Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow, going in procession, to Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.

Honoring Yvonne as Pallbearers are as follows: Bobby Dunn, Chad Dunn, Cody Dunn, Johnny Mullins, Dave Gasaway, and Charles Vestel

Honorary Pallbearers include Gary Hutchinson, Blaine Hutchinson and Billy Frazier.
