Surrounded by family, William "Dave" David Richmond went to be with his Savior on May 29, 2022.

He was born in Wise County, Virginia on May 19, 1955 to parents Helen and Clarence Richmond. He is survived by his loving wife, Susannah and four beloved children: Corbett, Anna, Abriel, and Samuel.

Dave loved classic rock, Pal's hamburgers, Carolina barbecue and was always ready with a good story and quick joke. He would say, "Don't call me a hillbilly, I prefer Mountain William".

In his 67 years of life, Dave accumulated many varied and interesting experiences. From his time serving as an EMT in Kansas City to performing on stage with The Trail of The Lonesome Pine or working as a machinist building jet engines for GE Aviation—he truly lived a full and variegated life.

However, his deepest joy and greatest purpose were his four children. Dave loved them dearly and overflowed with pride for them.

He was a man unashamed to accept the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Dave will be greatly missed, but in glory we will meet again.

In celebration of Dave's life, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 5 at Smyth Chapel in Meadowview, Virginia.
