Tom L. Kent, age 61, passed away on October 23, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. Tom was born on August 23, 1963, in Middlesboro, Kentucky to Jack and Rebecca Kent.

He was a proud resident of Buffalo Creek, West Virginia and graduated from Man High School. Tom spent most of his life working and living in West Virginia.

Tom is survived by two sisters, both of Abingdon, Virginia, Dottie Waters O'Quinn, and Jacqueline Kent Bott. He is also survived by his nephew Joe Waters and wife Angie; and Quinn Waters; Candence Waters of Abingdon, Virginia; his special loving friend Rosalyn Adkins Beddow of West Virginia; and his ex-wife Karla Kent of West Virginia. Everyone Tom knew was his friend, and there are too many to mention.

Tom was proceeded in death by Jack Kent his son of 27 years, the love of his life; his parents Jack and Rebecca Kent of Abingdon, Virginia; his grandparents O.T. Kent and Olivene Kent; Dorothy and Roy Sidmore of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and his older loving sister Susan Kent Lloyd and husband Charles.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bo, his dad, and Tammy for their kindness and friendship.

Tom is loved and will be deeply missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
