Sue White Campbell, 90, passed away February 12, 2025, at Smyth County Community Hospital.

She was born March 05, 1934, in Duffield, VA to the late Maynard and Dona Giles. Ms. Campbell was a graduate of the class of 1954 Johnston Memorial School of Nursing. She worked as a RN for over 41 years as well as the Director of Nursing for Smyth County Hospital. After retirement she continued to work for another 10 years for District 3. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Ruritan Club in Marion, VA, and The First United Methodist Church of Marion, VA.

Including her parents, she is preceded in death by, first husband, Fred O. White Sr.; second husband, Montie Campbell; one son, Fred O. White Jr.; one brother, Joe Giles.

Survivors include one daughter, Pam Ellis and husband Anthony; one brother, Jack Giles and wife Diana; two sisters, Ginsey Dishner and Betty Carter; five grandchildren, Kelly Woods and husband Ed, Derick Ellis and Liz, Katie Vandergriff and husband Jared, Cortney Spath and husband David and Cody White and wife Susan; seven great grandchildren; also, several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Mount Rose Mausoleum in Glade Spring, VA. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 P.M.
