Steven Curtis Cardwell, age 63, passed away on July 23, 2024, at his residence.

Steve was born on February 23, 1961, to the late Elmer G. Cardwell Sr. and Evelyn Heath Cardwell.

Steve volunteered for the Abingdon Fire Department for over 20 years. Steve will be remembered for his love of farming; he was also an avid sports fan, especially pulling for his Alabama Crimson Tide.

Including his parents, he is preceded in death by, two brothers, Wayne Cardwell and Elmer "Noonie" Cardwell, Jr.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mert and Kathleen Odum.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 34 years, Lisa Cardwell; sons,

Trevor Cardwell (Rachel) and Cory Cardwell; sister, Debra Tuggle; brother, Jim Cardwell (Lori); and half-brother, Mike White; also, many nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends and his K-9 companion Odie.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Neace officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 or to a charity of your choice.
