Steve McCann, age 64, passed away on March 29, 2026. He was born on July 26, 1961, to the late Clarence and Stella McCann.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing. He had a deep love for music and was a talented musician, playing multiple instruments and being in several bands over the years. In addition to his musical talents, Steve was skilled in painting and pipe welding, and he spent much of his working years out West.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry McCann.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Gracie Price and Nancy Gibson (William); his brother, Tom McCann; and several special nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday. April 6, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia, with a funeral service to follow, officiated by Rev. Jerry A. Eggers. Following the service, a procession will go to Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia, where interment will take place.

Steve’s presence will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
