Ryan Lee Conklin, 24, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.

Ryan was a graduate of Sullivan East High School and worked as a diesel mechanic at Love's truck stop.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shawn Conklin.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Tammy Conklin Ferguson of Mountain City; grandparents, Louis and Sheretta Conklin of Abingdon, Jim Cheeks and Shirley Hackler, both of Independence, Virginia; two brothers, Richard Richardson and wife Laken of Bristol, Virginia and Cole Conklin and fiancé Kayla Pennington of Kingsport, Tennessee; niece, Iyla Richardson; nephew, Mace Richardson; two special aunts; Sonya Sharp and Shanna Berry her husband Ben, their children, Brock, Sydney, and Sophie, and one Uncle James Cheeks and wife Alicia. Two very special friends Sam Collins and Matthew Hickman. Ryan had many friends close to his heart.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 9, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home in Abingdon, Virginia. The family intends to hold a private memorial service at a later date.
