Rosellen Leedy, 79, went to be with her heavenly father Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her home.

She was born September 26, 1945, to the late Carlos Fields and the late Lucy Kennedy Fields. Rosellen lived most of her life in the Greendale area with her son Chris.

Rosellen enjoyed gospel music, flowers, and animals.   She was a loving person who would help anyone she could. She loved her family very much.

She worked at Magic Mart for many years as a bookkeeper until retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George "Buddy" Leedy; son, David Leedy; sisters, Kathleen Childress and Trula Fields; brother-in-law, Elmer Childress and a nephew, David Childress.

Rose is survived by her son, Chris Leedy; her sister, Tiny Fields Baumgardner and husband Ben; a loving niece, Linda Rogers who cared for her for about three years.   Rose loved her like a daughter.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.  at Forest Hills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. There will not be a formal visitation.

The family would like to extend special thanks to caregiver Sharon Reynolds and MSA Hospice.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
