Roger Lee Black, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Valley Health and Rehab in Chilhowie, Virginia.

He was born June 13, 1947, in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Lee and Audrey Black. Roger worked for many years at Marley Moldings, loved to fish and hunt, and was a talented artist. Above all, Roger loved his Lord.

In addition to his parents, Roger is proceeded in death by a daughter, Regina Lee Black.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Laura Black; three daughters, Katie Black of Troutdale, Virginia, Becky Shuttle (Howard) and Amy Cook, both of Bristol, Virginia; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Frost Funeral Home, 250 E. Main St Abingdon, Virginia, 24210. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Virginia with Pastor Gary Harless officiating. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to arrive at the cemetery by 10:45 P.M.
