Robert Eugene Cook, Sr. 84, passed away September 15, 2023 at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

Mr. Cook was born February 18, 1939 to the late Tuner and Margaret Harrison Cook in Cleveland, VA. He loved to spend time outdoors especially walking and tending to his flower garden. He also loved to research his family history. He served his community in the ministry for over 50 years.

Including his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, John, Leonard, and Lester Cook.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 63 years, Faye Cook; daughter, Evelyn Ashby (Steve); son, Robert "Bobby" Cook, Jr.; two brothers, Benjamin and Frank Cook; two sisters, Shirley Johnson and Linda Spiva (Ern); three grandchildren, April Benton, Stephen Ashby (Kellie) and Scott Ashby (Stephanie); six grandchildren, Madison, Haille, Gavin, Easton, Teagan, and Tanner; also, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Frost Funeral Home with a service to follow at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Mike Somers officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
