Robert William Byars, Jr., 65 of the Green Spring community, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at his home.

Robert was born and lived his entire life in the Green Spring community of Washington County, Va. He was a retired truck driver after spending 40 years on the road. Robert's true passion was farming, it could be said if he wasn't driving a truck he was on his tractor. He also enjoyed tractor pulling and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert William Byars, Sr. and Violet Jean Burke Byars; his first wife, Norma Charlene Byars and one brother, Kelly Duane Byars.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra L. Byars; two children, Bradley William Byars (Miranda) and Kimberly Dawn Bundy (Joe); two step-sons, Steve Allison Brown, Jr. and Evan Lane Hurd; and four grandchildren, Harper and Neyland Bundy and Noah and Caleb Byars.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday in the chapel with Pastor Steve McCoy and Rev. Keith Wampler officiating. Interment will follow at Green Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
