Mr. Richard "Ricky" Lee South, 47, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 29, 1974 in Abingdon, Virginia to the late Ronnie and Linda McCormick South.

Ricky loved music and especially enjoyed judging high school band competitions. Ricky was an avid cyclist and adored his three dogs.

Ricky is survived by his partner, Joe Duty; one sister, Rachel "Amanda" South and Allen Edlund; one special niece, Katherine Edlund; friend, Darrell Ritchie.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matthew Chapman officiating. Inurnment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
