Richard Olen "Doc" Craven, 58, of Big Moccasin, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.

Richard was loved and cherished by many people. He was one of a kind and will always be remembered as the, "Mountain Man" of Big Moccasin.

Mr. Craven was born on January 30, 1964 to the late James and Julia Craven.

Survivors include his children, Courtney Byars, Brittany Craven, Josh Craven, and Jonathan Craven; grandchildren, Noah, Trinity, and Caleb; as well as his God Son, Brandon Smith.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to his close and dear friends, Donnie Hicks, Kim Craven, Mark Mitchell, Greg Horne, "Jake & Toot," and his son-in-law, John Saltz for always being a light in his life.

Services will be held at a later date.
