Peggy Schaffer, age 90, passed away on May 17, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 4, 1934 to the late Burns and Nell Easterly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Bradly Schaffer; five brothers, Bill Easterly, Frank Easterly, Charles Easterly, Johnny Johnson and Eddie Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Brownlow (Jerry) and two granddaughters, Layla Smith and Briana Cornett (Cory). Survivors also include three great granddaughters, Izabella Smith, Solana Valles and Nyellie Valles; one great grandson, Chase Cornett; two great-great grandsons, Maddox Hollis and Tyr Riggs.

The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Meadows for their patience and care over the past fifteen months. She insisted on living life and doing things her way.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Frost Funeral Home.
