Nancy B. Widener, 73, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, November 15, 2023, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Nancy was a life-long resident of Abingdon, Virginia and was retired from Johnston Memorial Hospital after 35 years of service. She was a member of Roberts Chapel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murphy R. Baumgardner and brother, Gary R. Baumgardner.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Harry L. Widener; daughter, Reginia (Michael) Mason; granddaughter, Kinsey (Jarod) Farris; great-granddaughter, Kollyns; her mother, Frances Baumgardner; sister, Kathy Cope of Sevierville, Tennessee. Nancy is also survived by several aunts, one uncle, and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at Greenwood Cemetery in Denton's Valley with Brother Rex Mallory and Brother Stephen Richardson officiating. Those planning to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:45 P.M.
