Obituary

Nancy Alburttie Harless, age 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Born on March 18, 1949, Nancy was the daughter of the late Siscrow Eugene Norris and Nancy Lucie Norris. She was a faithful attendee of Swords Creek Revival Center and was known for her kind, caring heart. Nancy found great joy in taking care of others, preparing meals for family and friends, and making everyone feel welcome. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

Nancy dedicated more than 40 years of service to Gregory Rest Home, where she compassionately cared for countless residents and touched many lives through her hard work and devotion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers: Gene Norris, Roy Norris, Sylvester Norris, Carl Norris, and J.D. Norris.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 56 years, Gilmer Harless; her daughter, Angela Widner and husband, Eric, and their children, Lucas Widner and Lacie Widner and her fiancé, Tryson Riendeau; her son, Paul Harless and wife, Andrea, and their children, Ethan Harless and Abigail Harless; her sister, Mary Welch; her brother, Grover Norris; and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Frost Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Wayne Perkins officiating.

A committal service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Hills Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Widner, Lucas Widner, Tryson Riendeau, Wayne Harless, Jerry Harless, and Jerry Hagy.

Nancy will be remembered for her selfless love, generous spirit, unwavering dedication to her family, and the compassion she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
