Myra Powers Breeding passed away September 11, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Myra was a graduate of Haysi High School and Southwest Virginia Community College. Myra then completed the Stephen R. Covey Management Training Certification Program.  Afterward, she spent most of her career in banking, but the last 16 years were devoted to the students at Edward Via College of Medicine.  Myra loved her family and the outdoors.  Above all, she adored her grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

She was born April 11, 1951, to the late Brady Powers and Juanita Turner Mullins.

Including her parents she is preceded in death by, one brother, Jimmy Powers and a stepsister, Beth Mullins Stallard.

Survivors include, husband, Curtis Breeding; two sons, Brannon Breeding and wife Julie, and Charlton Breeding and wife Emily; five grandchildren, Brice Breeding, Brock Breeding, Kailyn Breeding, Brynn Breeding, and Blake Breeding; loving companion, Darrell Powers; two sisters, Linda Daniel and Charlotte Sutherland; half-brother, Christopher Raines. Myra is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
